Our Story

MacPro-LA was founded in 2010 by Ray Harji with a simple idea: an Apple computer is not a throwaway. It is a machine built to last a decade or more — if someone takes the time to do it right.

Fifteen years later, we are still on Cahuenga Blvd. in Hollywood, still family-run, still bootstrapped. No venture capital. No investors. Just a team of technicians, buyers, and Apple specialists who care about the work.

We have restored more than 50,000 Macs for students, filmmakers, post-production houses, USC and UCLA creatives, small businesses, and anyone in Los Angeles who refuses to pay full Apple Store retail for gear that was built to go the distance.

Every Mac that leaves our door passes through the same inspection:

• Battery health check (80%+ required, or we replace it)
• Full display test — dead pixels, backlight, uniformity
• Logic board diagnostic under load
• Keyboard, trackpad, ports, speakers, camera, mic
• Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Thunderbolt, USB-C
• Cosmetic grading (A / B / C) with honest photos
• Checked for MDM (Mobile Device Management) — no business management profiles present
• Checked for Apple ID and iCloud lock — every device is verified clear for shipping and ready for new setup
• Full data wipe and fresh macOS install with certificate
• Final QC by a second technician before it ships
