Our inspection of this iMac
Every Mac passes 50 checks in 6 stages before it can be sold, and a second technician signs it off by name.
- Security & ownership (8): Apple ID, MDM and Apple Business Manager cleared, Find My off, firmware password removed
- Hardware diagnostics (14): Apple Diagnostics, 20-minute CPU and GPU stress tests, full memory and SSD scans
- Display & input (8): dead pixels, uniformity, camera, microphones and speakers
- Ports & wireless: every USB-C and Thunderbolt port for data, power and display, plus Wi-Fi and Bluetooth
- Cosmetic restoration (10): deep clean, and an honest grade assigned by hand
- Final QA (5): a second technician audits it, macOS is reinstalled from Apple, then it's boxed

Is an Open Box iMac the same as new?
Almost. The box has been opened, but the iMac is like new. It goes through the same 50-point inspection, gets a fresh macOS install and our 1-year warranty.
Does the M1 iMac support Apple Intelligence?
Yes. Apple lists every Mac with M1 or later as compatible, and the iMac runs the current version of macOS.
Will it be locked to someone else's Apple ID?
No. Every Mac is checked against Apple's servers for Activation Lock, MDM and business enrollment before it's sold. It's yours from the first power-on.
What does the warranty cover?
Hardware defects for 12 months, parts and labor, repaired on our own bench in Hollywood. If you're out of state, we pay shipping both ways. Accidental and liquid damage aren't covered. The warranty stays with the iMac if you sell or gift it.
Is shipping free?
Yes. Every order ships free with 2-day delivery, fully insured. Order by 1pm PT and it ships the same day.
Can I pick it up or see it first?
Yes. Pickup at our Hollywood store is free and usually ready within 4 hours. Open Monday–Friday 9am–5pm and Saturday 10am–2pm PT.
Can I transfer AppleCare to my name?
If the iMac still has AppleCare, yes. AppleCare is transferable. Contact Apple Support with the serial number to move it to your Apple ID.
